@Joan: I covered those white running gloves with rubber fishing gloves for the first 6 miles, when I tossed them on a pile of discarded shirts and caps.

Cathy was in a "Boot Camp" group in the campground's Mardi Gras parade. I was a "camp follower". I won first prize for solo participants; Cathy's group won first prize for performing groups.
